Grooved Check Valve

A grooved check valve is a type of check valve that is designed to prevent backflow by automatically closing when fluid reverses direction. They are often used in wet pipe systems, building riser pipes, and sprinkler systems for fire protection. Grooved check valves can be installed vertically or horizontally and are available in a variety of materials and sizes.

Here are some features of different types of grooved check valves:

Grooved Swing Check Valve

Designed for wet pipe systems, this valve can only flow upward and is available in sizes from 2 to 8 in. It can be made from materials such as E-EPDM or T-NITRILE.

Fire Protection Grooved Check Valve

This compact valve is designed for use in grooved-end pipe fire protection systems. It has a working pressure of 250 PSI and a maximum working temperature of 180°F. It is also UL-listed and FM-approved.

Grooved End Check Valves

These valves are designed for use with Victaulic® Couplings and are available in sizes up to 12 in. They can be made from carbon steel, 316 stainless steel, brass, and aluminum, and the internal components can be customized.

Groove x Groove Check Valve

This single check valve is designed for fire protection systems, such as connections between public water supplies and private fire services systems and discharges from fire pumps. It is made from brass and can be installed horizontally or vertically.
