Boiler Trim Valves

Boiler Trim Valves That Can Take The Heat

Industrial boilers are designed to provide a safe, reliable hot water or steam source for various applications. They must be able to operate under extreme temperatures and pressures for long periods of time.

The same is true for the valves on a boiler. A boiler valve must function under the same severe conditions, which can make it prone to becoming damaged before its time. As you may know, a damaged boiler valve can cause many problems, including cavitation, leakage around the seat, and unwanted particles inside the boiler. (For those new to the valve business, cavitation is when pockets of vapor form and then burst in the water immediately downstream of a valve.)

In addition to the extreme heat, boilers are often used at maximum capacity, which means they experience more operating cycles than were intended when the equipment was designed. Since the boiler is working harder, the boiler valve is also working harder, making it especially important that it is well-built using the best materials. This is also true for the valve’s trim, the tubing attached to a boiler for connecting valves, and other controls.

Valves That Are Precisely Engineered for Their Exact Use

Because of these demanding conditions, United Brass Works designs and manufactures boiler trim valves precisely engineered to work on boilers. We use only bronze, brass, and carbon steel to make high-quality valves that will work well and last a long time.

Our team of valve experts will also advise you on properly installing your valves. Proper installation will prevent problems and ensure that the boiler valve has a long life, even if the boiler is being used heavily and has frequent cycling.

A boiler that’s safe and running properly often comes down to the valves. The importance of the valve to a boiler’s operation cannot be overstated.

United Brass Works manufactures a variety of valve types designed for boilers, including ball, globe, angle, blow-down, and needle valves. We also offer other products that may be needed, such as boiler gauges, water gauges, and expansion tank fixture sets.
